Only reason I brought that up in another thread is because it is an indicator (pretty shocking one at that when you compare that figure to the rest of the country). I also brought it up as a counter to people praising that we had a #1 class in G5, completely disregarding the fact that we had way more commits than most other teams.

Although the class is a big improvement over the last 2-3 JJ classes, it is still an average AAC class.

When all is said and done I think you will see it is better than an average AAC class.

Becker said today that he's 6-5 and 225

Dustin might want to put his guys on a scale before pronouncing them 260. His estimate is only 35 lbs off from reality!

Not as easy as everybody thinks to put on quality weight......Pursley 263, Fister 260, Natour 257, Richards 250.

Looking at this schedule objectively I can possibly see six wins. With all of these off season changes it would seem jmu, unt, tulsa, tulane, navy, and south Florida are all beatable teams.

More likely 4-8 but if the right pieces start clicking.

Temple is at home and Memphis is the last game of the season, so you can include those 2 opponents as well where if we win, it wouldn't be that big of an upset, IMO.

Would love to see the momentum of a 6-6 bowl team.

Another place says that he told them he weighed 250. I will go with Coach Fry.

What's so hard about weight gain? Happens to me without even trying very hard.

and by the way - it is almost impossible to see anything more than five wins in my view.

JM
UNT
Tulsa
Tulane
usf

maybe temple at home. I just dont think we can hang with Navy. Never could really. And Memphis is a good team.

4 would be overachieving. 5 would be rock star.

PB & tiki couldn't hang with Navy, Chad we simply don't know. What we do know is it required extra work to prepare for Navy and we all know how some people respond to extra work.

Memphis is the last game of the season. Who knows what injuries might occur, which freshmen might have breakout seasons or what either team will be playing for. I just don't think they are that great a team what we couldn't beat them.

Outside of Baylor, I think every home game is winnable, which is more a reflection of our opponents than us. So pencil losses to TCU, Baylor and Coogs. You're left with 9 games, anyone of which we could win. I'll say we win 4 or 5 against those opponents. Would absolutely love 6.

Stallion, I'm curious if he is also a shot putter and if so - his distance.

Becker competed for his high school in the shot put, but didn't qualify for the state meet. In his words, "I was OK, but not very good." However, he finished third in the state in the discus — he said his best throw was 164 feet, 10 inches.

Still good to know. The fact that he competed in Shot and Discus is an additional indication of his quickness and athleticism.
