But I thought your premise was we could not recruit top talent because of all the hurdles in place--and not most of them are down. Are you suggesting now that top talent won't come to SMU because of the conference we are in? I mean what's left to put on a level with TCU as far as consistent recruiting of top talent?

Personally I think the reason we can't get top talent is we've just been so damn bad for so long.

you got it-there has been tremendous damage done to SMU's reputation simply for losing so long. Another factor is that as I've mentioned a Coach only gets about a two year honeymoon in recruiting until recruits expect to see improvement on the field. Haven't seen much yet-which will continue to hurt recruiting until its corrected.
