Ask yourself-after our experience over the last 18 years-why do Coaches like Bennett from Kansas St and other stops and Doherty from Florida Atlantic make these pronouncements about the dreaded JUCO player(and for that matter Division 1A Transfers) when their track record is so obviously the opposite?

They are obviously told not to do so and it's not in our model ..how about that :)
I think that is called leading the witness.

I am pretty sure leading is allowed in this case. I am not sure you can say the witness is hostile, but you can certainly say Stallion is!

Rivals pro-SMU bias is rearing its ugly head again as Ryan Harp has moved up to No. 14 in the NEW Texas Top 25. Also Alex Malone continues to rise to No. 22. SMU recruit Brett Royster has gone from the high twenties to No. 18. D'Waylon Roberts committed to Texas Tech.

Brett Royster committed to Doherty's old school Florida Atlantic. The Rivals story did not mention an SMU offer but their capsule of Visits and Offers and previous stories do. Not sure what to think about that. Perhaps we are waiting on Papa Dia and Katuka and had him on hold, we moved on, there are admission issues or he eliminated us. You'd think we could make room for the No. 18 player in Texas. That's just about the last top Texas recruit that I am aware of that SMU is really after. Doherty appears to be learning about the Hand Grenade Doctrine. Did he do better than Jimmy Tubbs did in Texas? Don't really think so. He has shown better contacts across the Country but Hand Grenades may apply there. I'm thinking this will be a long road back unless we can land Dia and Katuka.

Stallion's speculation on Royster and admissions issues is highly accurate. It sounds like Dia had a good visit to Louisville. I am sure Pitino is killing CUSA by telling Papa that Memphis is the only quality program in the league and emphasizing the quality of the Big East. We need this one to draw out longer. If he makes a decision today or tomorrow I'm guessing it will be Louisville.

I agree with you goponies1. He didn't commit on his visit here and that was a bad sign. Usually the last impression is the one that lasts and his last was a favorable one of Louisville. Doesn't sound good to me.

BTW if these recruits are relatively similar, it was my impression that the first to say he wanted to commit is usually the guy that gets it simply because you could be left with nothing otherwise.
