Of course, Bo Levi Mitchell also has an offer from Hawaii.
If, as some have suggested, Alex Odiari ends up at SMU, he also had offers from Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Texas Tech and TCU.
Mitchell and Odiari shouldn't be included in the 8 that MustangIcon rattled off because they were not committed to SMU under Bennett. Mitchell followed JJ, and Odiari hasn't committed yet.

Hence: If, as some have suggested, Alex Odiari ends up at SMU...

They graduate about 40 guys each year total. Not forty from the football team. That's total. If we were welcomed to recruit at Holland Hall I would guess we would pick up maybe 1 or 2 in the next 20 years
I think he was kidding because he was playing off the ridiculous Mike Owens' comments about us and Tyler Robert E. Lee. That's OK, the school is named after a Confederate General WHO LOST THE CIVIL WAR ANYWAY. Nice work in 1865, Bob!
You can run down Mike Owens. You can run down Tyler Lee. Hell, you can talk bad about all of Smith County if you want to. But don't drag the memory of Bobby Lee into this.
Nobody in football should be called a genius. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein.

That may well be true - you're not the first to suggest that - but with the new staff in place, there was no assurance that the agreement would carry over to the new regime, making the "if" statement more than valid.

Didn't Odiari play at Ok State before he dropped out?

Well, Lee and loser start with the same letter.
And what about Bob? When I hear how revered he is down here, picture me going into the over-rated chant.
