There is an elite nationally kicking camp going on right now-here on comments on Mike Loftus:

"SMU commit Mike Loftus was consistently among the top performers in all of the competitions on the day showing a strong very good consistency from 55 yards and in."

I don't know any details yet but I believe there will definitely be tailgating before Rice.

Another quote regarding how Loftus is doing in the camp.

Quote:

SMU commit Mike Loftus once again demonstrated a big leg and showcased his skills as a kickoff man, an area where he excels.

I watched Servite's game on TV this week to check out Loftus. It surprised me that they used another kicker for all of the extra points and most of the field goals. The announcers said Loftus only handled the long field goals.

He did well on his kickoffs though putting some in the endzone. He had good hangtime on his punts, although the distance was nothing special on the ones I saw. I wonder if he is more of a punter/kickoff guy than a kicker?
