Lawerence would start next year for us. That could be a bunch of yards for the record books.

Update. He's been knocked out of the game against Ennis. Shoulder pads off with ice.

Heath coach Mickey Moss said that shoulder injury will cause him to miss the Region II final against Sulphur Springs Friday. That's too bad.

I have been told he cannot qualify academically at SMU or any other major program. My sources are typical of this board, a good friend was told by a good friend, etc. Does anyone know?

well we might know something pretty soon-he has several Big 12 visits lined up in coming weeks and since they can't take non-qualifiers it will be interesting to see if they start backing off-its pretty common for Big 12 teams to back off kids who they know they can't get in. Its also not unusual for recruits playing deep into the playoffs to put off taking or retaking the SAT/ACT. He can't visit until he has at least taken it once. I've probably read 20 stories on him and no one brings up his academic status which is a little unusual. I wonder why so many have offered even in the last few weeks if he is such an academic risk.

I hope my information is wrong. But, they seemed pretty sure, and at my age, most of my friends while pretty opinionated, are fairly accurate.
Maybe, the fact that out of twenty acticles or posts, etc. there is not one mention of acedemics speaks volumes...most posts contain some reference to SAT's or GPA's of prospective recruits.
