I actually agree with most of Stallions recruiting theory too. I just do not believe it is the sole factor in success or that you can recruit Texas alone if you are not a Texas school......and I was bored, so I decided to argue.
But you are right, Nebraska supposedly had its best recruiting classes ever under Callahan. It translated into 2 losing seasons and breaking the longest bowl streak in the country. Recruiting is incredibly important, but it is only Step 1. And a great coach can take second- and third- tier players and produce a great team, ala June Jones in Hawaii.
