What is the name of the Airforce QB from the mid-late 1980's with the happy feet. The guy was deadly with his feet and fairly accurate throwing on the run. Can't think of his name, thanks for the help.

you are right. Johnson on film reminds me of Dowis in terms of mechanics.

BATTLE OF THE UNBEATENS-tonite in Metroplex as Tyler John Tyler continues its brutal schedule playing Mesquite Horn both 5-0. DMN High School Blog has reporter at game. Jeremy Johnson is having a big big big big game-TJT leading 42-14(Halftime).

http://highschoolsportsblog.hsgametime.com/

Here are some of the DMN reporters comments:

dennisbhall: John Tyler QB Jeremy Johnson is very good (and fast) -- two passes and a run lead to another JT touchdown and 21-7 lead.

dennisbhall: JT doesn't believe in ball control -- 63-yard TD run by Johnson on first play gives JT a 28-14 lead

dennisbhall: Wow, John Tyler QB Jeremy Johnson is really fast. Another 63-yard TD run gives him 193 rushing in first half, 35-14 lead over Horn

dennisbhall: John Tyler's Johnson scores his fourth rushing TD for 42-21 lead with :08 left in first half. Johnson has 219 rushing on 12 carries

dennisbhall: John Tyler starts fast again. 70-yard kickoff return, then quick TD for 49-21 lead over Horn, early third

dennisbhall: FG by John Tyler gives Lions a 52-21 lead. QB Jeremy Johnson now has 254 yards on 16 carries

dennisbhall: It's final: John Tyler 59, Mesquite Horn 28, great performance by JT quarterback Jeremy Johnson (306 rushing yards, 5 TDs)

I normally believe that most recruits should redshirt to get them acclimated to college life and gain strength. Jeremy, however, appears to be the exception to the rule!

Wide Receivers gain a lot less than other positions by a redshirt. QBs and Linemen should be redshirted 95% of the time. All SMU Offensive Linemen since David Richards should be redshirted. Sometimes you'll find a DLineman who is ready basically because quality is so rare and demand is high.

Hansen led off his high school coverage with TJT game-showed Johnson running 63 yards for a TD. I know Johnson is reported to be 6-1 but I think he may be a tad under 5-11. I've seen him several times on various highlites. He's a receiver all the way with maybe some use as a Wild Peruna

Did he look like his speed was up to par on the highlights you saw?

watch Fox Southwest High School Highlite show at 12:00-it will probably be on tonite since both teams were undefeated. I would think he's got a good shot at 5A Player of the Week which you can vote on at Texas Football-I'll check later in the week to see if he's nominated.

Boxscore-Jeremy Johnson had 19 rushes for 306 yards 5 TDs rushing and was 4 for 9 passing for 46 yards 0 Ints and 2 TDs passing-accounted for 7 TDs. Collins caught 3 passes for 43 yards and 2 TD passes of 9 and 11-not his usual homeruns but obviously TJT didn't need to throw much and had only 46 yards passing.
