Returning Starters:
SMU: 17-1(Beasley) but really plus 2 (Wilkerson + Lereibus) or 18
TCU: 11-1(Tanner Brock) or 10

Counting Walk-ons/Roster-how embarrassing

Returning starters is a great way but that wasn't the argument being made. The argument made was that TCU was so young. The number of seniors they started demonstrated that they are young, but not so much younger than us to make up for the talent differential.

Almost everyone gets a letter now so Lettermen wouldn't be a great way to look at it, Counselor. I'd expect KNOWLEDGEABLE college football fans to know that.

so........ experienced, inferior talent beats less-experienced, better-talented teams?

Generally, provided the difference isn't too extreme in talent.

I understand and appreciate the game experience comment, but I was surprised that TCU played so many older players. I did not expect that.
