You are right if you are talking about the Big East today but you are wrong if you are talking about the new Big East. I gave you a top 25 basketball list and all you gave me was your personal opinion based upon your own emotional straw man argument. Give me some independent info to support your position.

No, you're the one with the advanced position. Not sure I've seen any one else say the football side of the new Big East is the same level of quality as the basketball side. But I've been wrong plenty of times before.

Only Louisville and Memphis are ranked. You said that the Big East is the first or second best conference in the country. I have given you some data to support my position. Now give me some data to support your position. If you don't have any then you are making a circular argument that is baseless. Supply data, if not we need to discontinue this exchange.

I thought football recruiting was suppose to improve with the move to a BCS conference?
The bottom line is LB and staff are out on the trail aggressively recruiting and LB's name is the big draw, but wasn't that what we were told when JJ was hired? A "named" coach with a reputation for offense and developing QB's?
Larry Brown and staff are proactive, JJ and his staff seem reactive.

Actually its more competitive and therefore more difficult to get a Top 25 class in BB than FB as,

1) there are quality BB programs such as Villanova*, DePaul, Marquette, St John's, Gonzaga, Georgetown and Providence to name a few that do not field FB teams.

2) there are BCS schools that due to high academics and/or low enrollment simply can't compete in FB but can in BB. Wake Forest, Vandy, Duke and now SMU come to mind. If Rice were smart, they would follow our lead.

3) There are fringe FB schools such as Louisville and Memphis that lack the resources to be competitive in FB but can in BB.

Oh, and if LB stays here for 4 years, we should have a better team than the one down in Austin. All Mack Brown jokes aside, what are the chances of that ever happening in FB?

Louisville has the resources. Their FB facilities are top notch. They are built to win.

'86, I took a longer view on my post.

They were not BCS-worthy for most of the past 25 years, yet thrived in BB.

In the last few years Louisville has sunk a ton of money into their FB facilities. Their FB facilities almost look like Nebraska's facilities.

All joking aside you really don't want to start posting real pictures of Nebraska football facilities and compare them to ours.
