Hope this works out better than the last highly recruited QB from Georgia that "committed" to SMU.

Soooooooo what about severt and Colbert? We probably aren't going to end up with 3 qbs

Yeah we probably won't end up with 3 scholarship QBs in this class but it's early. It's possible Severt and Colbert could get other offers after the season starts or be greyshirted.

Hal Mumme is accustomed to hard core SEC style recruiting. He might land another kid with SEC offers.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

should have plenty of competition for the starting QB job after Gilbert leaves. If all these commitments stick, things are looking up
