Greatest post ever.
I completely agree. I made the mistake of taking a swig of water while reading that line.... I don't know if my laptop will ever be the same.

Saw this on Rivals Blog thought it might explain why he picked Rice.
Rice had several ins with Allen QB
When Allen quarterback Nathan [deleted] committed to Rice last week, a contingent of SMU fans voiced their displeasure, believing one of the area's best quarterback recruits shouldn't get away to a conference rival.
But realize this, Rice had a huge recruiting advantage with [deleted]: The Owls' coaching staff has five - count them five - Allen coaching alums.
Start with head coach Todd Graham, who was Allen's head coach/AD from 1995-2000. Add in assistant head coach John Peace, another Allen head coach in the 1970s.
Don't forget special teams coordinator Danny Phillips, who worked under Graham at Allen. Or tight ends coach Dean Jackson, who spent six years at Allen before working the last two as Hillcrest's defensive coordinator. Even offensive line coach Todd Dilbeck spent a season at Allen.

This is too bad, I thought we were gonna get this guy. The good thing is he is only verballed, he could still sign with SMU, who knows. We need to keep on the kid, most importantly we need to win next year, I think we will do it. GO PONIES!!!

Reasons to go to RICE:
Major Applewhite
Reasons NOT to go to RICE:
Ugly Chicks x infinity
Weird People
No Fans (lowest attendence in Div 1)
Haven't been to a bowl since 1964
Can't get skill players into school . . . skill players don't wanna go to RICE
Lame Mascot (who gets intimidated by a f*ckin owl)
Players don't fit new offense
RICE WILL NEVER WIN
Prediction: If lucky they'll go 1-11

Where did you get that stat and where did SMU come in, tied for worst?
I saw where you said you are on the sidelines at home-can you honestly say, looking up in the stands, that SMU averaged over 18,000 last year?? Don't lie, I was there for all of them too.

Rice ranked 114 of 117 qualified I-A schools in attendance; SMU was 92, averaging an additional 8,000 per game. Does SMU fudge its attendance? Yes. Does Rice? Yes. Does nearly every school that doesn't consistently sell out? Yes. Do I care? No.
In defense of Rice, they had a pretty terrible schedule for attendance in 2005. Every team that would bring fans was a road game. The closest home opponents were in division home games were Tulane, UTEP and Tulsa. Both Houston and SMU were road games. only one nonconference home game and that was Navy. Oh, and the losing. Not a good way to sell tickets.

Me too...they almost could've named names. Something like (just for example, I'm not saying anyone said anything):
"SMU fans Mustangs35SMU, MM1965, Current STUDent, RGV Pony and to a lesser extent BUS were said to have voiced their displeasure. An email to Stallion seeking comment was not responded to, but he is not expected to have been surprised."

Sounds familiar. Thanks for confirming the ballboy was mistaken.

About my Rice post earlier, that was my friend posting some of that stuff and he hates Rice with a passion. Sorry if all of my facts weren't straight and yes we don't have that high of an attendence either but if i'm not mistaken the Baylor game was pretty packed and TCU was a good sized crowd.

Do you let your old friend loose with your credit card as well? If so, can I be your old friend?
Rice outrecruited us, that's pretty unbelievable.
