Rivals has a new story on Braylon:

West Rusk coach John Frazier confirmed that his two-way star Braylon Williams has committed to play his college football for SMU.

"He a great kid," Frazier told MustangManiacs.com. "Outside of the physical things, he's a high character kid with a great work ethic."

Frazier believes that Williams could take a couple of years on the SMU campus to physically develop enough to play on the defensive line.

At only age 16, Williams is 6-4 1/4, 235 pounds and runs a 4.9 40-yard dash. He does not turn 17 until late August.

"He has a good frame on him," Frazier added. "He has very long arms."

Saw him play last year versus EF. Man among children. Of course, that's 2A, but he was a monster.

Glad to get a prospective from someone that actually saw him play.

He is a very good kid and TCU coaches did talk to him a lot and he was at the TCU camp. TE is not a position of need this year and to play DE coaches really like LBer speed.

TCU DE commit Byrant House runs a 4.9 40.

According to the latest interview with Braylon Williams, he runs a 4.8 which is the same speed as Texas 3 star DE commit Kyle Kregel. I think we are in good company with the young man.

House will not play DE for the Frogs. He'll either move inside or go to the OL. He is a lot bigger than Williams and runs about the same speed.

Rivals has House listed at 250. That's not a lot bigger. But at any rate you guys are having a good recruiting year. By the way, did the cable network finally agree to broadcast the Mountain West or are you guys out in the cold again this year regarding local TV?
