Really?...general info?...you must speed read and miss the stuff you don't already know.

PomyPride does a solid job on the interviews and has a tibit or two different that what I have read elsewhere but we already know who they via the recruiting services. I did not say I did not like the roundup. Heck I like PonyPride, Scout, and Rivals. :D

And Ponystampede just brought on a new reporter this week that focuses on SMU Basketball, which may have been a shortcoming compared to PonyPride and their great Basketball sluething. And you are right SMU86 as supporting those sites is really huge as these reporters call and hound these recruits and let them know that SMU really wants to know that they are signing with SMU and we may actually keep some athletes interested in SMU because of the attention that they get from these reporters on behalf of SMU. Some reporters are really good with their insight and we can't really discuss what we read but it adds to the SMU experience for me....the $9 per month for each is good insurance for our total recruiting efforts....

Agreed. Comparing the pay sites and Ponyfans is apples and oranges. The pay sites, both of which I subscribe to, are very well connected to both SMU and SMU recruiting. Their reporters work very hard to furnish in-depth, real time information that you will not find anywhere else including Ponyfans. They are not competition for Ponyfans but complement it. For expressing your opinion, getting the outlook and opinions of a wide variety of SMU supporters, detractors and supporters of other teams and ultimately finding out program information, Ponyfans is the go to site and it is free. However, if you really want to know what is going on behind the scenes, have recruit interviews and videos and want to know SMU news as it happens, the paysites is where you go. It is simply a question of whether you want to pay to have current indepth information and analysis. I do, but if you have better places to spend your money that is your decision.
