You really want a 61 year old head coach in waiting???? H has an awful record as an FBS coach. I'm glad he's here as an OC, but nothing more. We need a YOUNG and dynamic new head coach.

One that will leave after three years of success? At east Mumme has stuck it out with some smaller schools

Can't be afraid of success, if people want your coaches that's a good thing. Besides, if you want some fossilized retread who won't leave for some P5 school there are much better options than Mumme.

I'm not saying I want him to be the HC. I'm just saying I think that's the plan.

Based upon what?
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

I knew what you were saying. I am saying that I am starting to believe that is the plan as well.

A lot of coaches leaving after three years of success come from schools like la tech, northern Illinois, and San Jose state. Schools that do not pay their coaches 2 million a year.

Competition for the starting job doesn't hurt. Hoping we hit big on one of these guys.

Another great commit, looks like HM is going to help not only with the O, but with recruiting as well.

Hal is too old to recruit. Obviously wasn't him. Must have been a young guy, and dynamic. They are the only ones who can recruit.
We'll see how the "young and dynamic" staff at TT get on four weeks on Friday....
