Dutch, may I ask what's with the cheeseburger picture in your signature line? Your posts make me hungry! :D

You may ask. The point of that is to make you hungry for that specific burger. It's called a Point Burger, and it's available at a bar that I'm a partner in. Lakewood's 1st & 10 (formerly Bailey's 1st & 10) at Mockingbird & Abrams. The point burger is 13oz. we also have a skinny burger that is 8oz.

I put the photo and link to our website in my signature (advertising is frowned upon here) because we sponsor this site, as well as the SMU Scout page. In turn, we get the support of ponyfans.com to have watch parties at our bar on our 10 flatscreens.

Last year we were honored as Best Sports Bar in D Magazine. if you're unfamiliar, please come by and check us out.

Dutch,

As a PonyFans sponsor, you can tout your products all you want. I only take offense to those who think they're entitled to use PonyFans as their own personal media outlet. For those people, if you want to get connected with the SMU community, step up to the plate (using a restaurant reference rather than the usual PonyUP) and either become a sponsor like 1st & 10 or buy an ad.

Oh, and I can vouch for the Point Burger. It rocks! Also, I would HIGHLY recommend the cheese fries, nachos and club sandwich. All are among the best you'll ever have, and I'm not just saying that because I'm trying to work off our bar tab either.

I'm partial to 1st & 10's BLT as well. One of the best in town, and with an order of cottage fries (crispy of course), it's tough to beat.

OFFICIAL Signing Day thread

Postby Dooby » Wed Feb 02, 2011 12:09 pm

From SMU twitter: "Lost power for a bit... Wimbley, Wood, Sparling, Spencer, Longoria, Yenga, Holloway, Weeks and Sams are all in!"
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
