DeKalb lost to Farmersville yesterday 20-14. Ganaway had 29 carries for 131 yards and no TDs. Apparently he did get over the 2800 yard mark though.

What a fantastic season he had. Sounds like a damn good pickup for the Ponies.

I do know that Houston offered Terrance a shot at the starting RB job next year and that they are losing 2 Sr. RB's. I am afraid that SMU not wanting Terrance as a RB may not be a good thing. But, that is just my opinion.
Over the past 2 years (24 games), Terrance has rushed for over 5200 yds and 57 TD's behind an offensive line that averages 205 lbs. Our biggest lineman was 219 lbs. Obviously, SMU doesn't really view him as a D1 RB prospect, and I am not exactly sure why unless it is that bogus 4.65 40 time. If you were Terrance and SMU wanted you as an athlete and UH told you you would compete for the starting RB job in 07, which way would you lean?
Not trying to stir anything guys, just pointing out the reality of the situation.

I would not object to an athlete carrying the football. But if I am a player I want on the field somewhere.

I could very well see UH recruiting him to play RB but by no means do I see him in competition for their starting gig next season. If I recall, they have this decent kid, #22, named Alridge returning for next year. I hear he's pretty good.

I agree. I don't see him getting much playing time at Houston right away because of Aldridge. Our RB situation is more unsettled, especially with DM having a pedestrian, injury filled year. If we get a coordinator in here that can use Ganaway to the best of his ability as a WR and a RB, I think he could thrive with Willis running the O.

Talked to Terrance last night........sounds likely that I'll be driving 5 1/2 hours to see him play instead of 3.

So are you saying that he is leaning towards UH instead of SMU?

I didn't know Houston had a message board.

They do, but it's not online. It's a dry erase board outside the locker room. But the markers smell good!
