Now THAT's what we need. As important as the HERD of O-linemen is, the mini-herd of DBs & rec.'s is just as important. Anybody over 6' or 6'1 should be on our radar.

Absolutely. I gather the small CBs have played well, sort of, in the first two games, but a big CB who can run? Sign him up!

I've been really pleased with Charles Akinyemi and Ro Humphrey this year. But how different would it be to have this guy at 6-1 and 6-0 Jonathan Lindley lining up across from each other?

we GOT to get some taller CB's and some recievers in the 6'4" + range. Just call me master of the obvious!!!

Yeah, I would like to see some bigger CBs, but I agree that Akinyemi and Humphrey have been pretty darn good. I don't see them as a weak link at all. No, they're not All-Americas (yet!), but they've done a solid job this season. And Brandon Jones looked great against TT, and Lindley has shown flashes. Those two already give us a pair of tall CBs for the next few years, but tall CBs are like beefy OLs - you just can't have enough.

Coach Bennett has talked about having "the athletes" to run the defensive packages he wants to run. I can't wait to see what having athletes who also happen to be big guys can do for his defense. He's a great defensive coach - particularly with the secondary - and if he's able to land guys like this, our secondary might become a real strength.
