Like Pettiford, sounds like the athletic ability is beyond question. Get him to the Hilltop. THEN pick a position.

Status report on Mr. Hodge? I read where SMU is still on his list.

I know his team went pretty far into the Playoffs so that essentially delays recruiting. The latest report on Rivals had him still trying to arrange visits as of a couple of weeks ago. No mention of SMU.

This kid is a for sure athlete. We played them in the playoffs and unfortunately got beat but we got our licks in. I know right now he has a torn MCL which isn't as devestating as an ACL so he should be good to go. I wish SMU could get this kid, he is very strong and makes people miss. Not QB material, which is what he played in HS (can't throw to save his life) but as someone else said, he is one heck of an athlete. I would like to see him out at WR which is probably where he will play unless he gets moved to defense. He wasn't a bad DE when they put him in. I take that back, you want the ball in this boy's hands as often as possible. A little personal opinion on someone who I have seen personally.

I read some newspaper that called him the best pure HS athlete in east Texas. If there ever was a time for the Bennett boys to work their east Texas connections, it sounds like this is it.
