Tyler Marrou was a first team all-South Texas and district selection as a junior at the center position. He was a third team all-state selection by the writers. He plays on both sides of the ball and says Colorado likes him on offense. The Buffs are his favorite team and only offer at this point.

"Colorado has offered me in writing and TCU, SMU, Rice, and Stanford have all told me I have an offer," explained Marrou. "But, Colorado is the only one to send me one. Them and TCU are my favorites. Those two are recruiting me the hardest. If I had to choose one leader, I'd choose Colorado.
"They play in the Big 12 and they play a lot of good teams; Texas, Oklahoma, and A&M. I like Coach Wristen. He is a real cool guy and down-to-earth."
Marrou says that CU likes him as an offensive lineman (tackle or guard) and may even give him a shot at tight end. He has scheduled a visit for Boulder on the weekend of December 10th. "I am still working on getting a visit set with TCU."
He describes his best attributes. "I am smart on the field and I think that helps make me a great player. If I am going against a linebacker that is real fast, I figure out what angles to take on him. If I am going against a lineman that weighs more than me, I figure out how to get under him better."
Marrou carries a 4.2 core GPA and scored a 22 on his ACT. He is undecided on a major.
