Stallion,
Is it safe to say this one recruit has received 3 times more offers than our entire class to date?

It IS safe to say that 99% of the people who read this board don't CARE what TCU is or isn't doing.

Now that I've posted, it is safe to say that 75% of the posters on this thread care about what our biggest rival, who is in our same recruiting area, is doing.

Are you kidding me? That may be the most ridiculous statement ever posted on PF.com. Geez.

OK let me rephrase it-Nick Richmond turned down an offer from SMU and reportedly 30 other schools to commit to TCU.

That's a little harsh, LA. You may just be joining me in the top two. I made the comment because it seems to me that Stallion's post was off topic and designed to tear down not to build up.

TCU cuts corners with admissions and pays their players. Their recent commitment is no suprise to me and to the other insiders who have certain knowledge.

I think that should be a hand basket. I wonder who they would see there if they fell that far....

Very nice post from someone on the "inside" of the TCU program.

In order compete, are you suggesting we must do the same?

Hey I'm going to have to jump to the defense of the Froggies-they don't do anything we shouldn't be doing or that winning bowl teams don't do. Tubbs used to recruit an excessive number of JC kids but they have cut back in BB and recruit a legitimate number in FB. They have a respectable graduation rate-they are probably a better Model than SMU because they enjoyed success AND retained respectable graduation rates.

nuff said about models, Stallion. Models do change everywhere. It is static and tweeking done all the time. JC signing date is Weds.

Grad rates hide cheap academic programs, or vice versa.
The quality of their degrees is somewhat suspect and on par with state schools.[/b]
