Junior College Signing Day is Wednesday.

To me, this is the great unknown. What will happen Wednesday? There is no list of commitments to my knowledge; will there be any signings? There has been talk that we have been actively recruiting junior college players at a variety of positions, but there is little concrete evidence to support it.
And if there are some signings, what does it mean? Does it mean there are even fewer restrictions than in the past? Will these guys be able to play? There was a Juco impact this year. Will there be in 2005?

I think there will be a definite JUCO impact this year. We got Bobby Chase in January last year, and didn't we get one of the QBs then? I think we're trying to get a couple early this year, too, and then a couple more to sign in February. My hope is that they're big, ugly, slobbering linemen who eat nothing but raw meat.

Stallion, are there many JC players listed in Rivals? Are we even mentioned as a school of interest by many/any of those players?
With the exception of a possible WR from Cal JC, there have been few rumors of potential JC signings around here-- I'm concerned it may be kinda quiet on Wed @ Ford Stadium ?

quite frankly Rivals sucks when it comes to covering Texas JC football recruiting-there is a real void-for some reason they cover other parts of the country like Kansas, Calf etc much better when it comes to JCs. Any info on JC/Prep recruits-I thought there might have been one from Kansas? I referred to recently-I posted on this board.

Since I started whining about JC's (above remark), we have rec'd 2 JUCO commits.
This can be no accident. So, to help the program, I will soon start a "WHINERS" thread that will run through official signing day Feb '05.
Together, we CAN make a difference.

Please remember that it was very late in the day when SMU sent out a press release last year on 12/15.
