Longshot with bigtime talent

Found this on Insiders:
Carrollton Newman Smith DT Jonathan Lewis, Texas Hot 100 #19, recently gave Kansas State a verbal. We list him as a soft verbal because he has a few official visits set up. We talk about that, and more, in the report below...
Lewis, who suffered a torn ACL in his last game, gave the Wildcats a verbal a little over a week ago...
"I love their (Kansas State) coaching staff," Jonathan Lewis told Scout.com. "We really get along. And they seem like they really want me a lot."
Next on the agenda?
Lewis would like to take a few official visits, including one to Kansas State...
"I'm taking official visits to SMU (1/7), K-State (1/14), Arkansas (1/21) and TCU (1/28)," Lewis on his official visit itinerary said. "I'd really like to take all four of those visits."
A former Texas Tech target, Lewis fell off the Red Raider board because he was adamant about going out-of-state. However, if Texas Tech picked it back up again, the 4-star DL prospect, who is quicker than a hiccup, said he'd be interested in taking an official visit to Lubbock.
"A few schools dropped out," said the 6-2, 265-pounder, "So I'd consider giving Texas Tech an official visit..."
--------
Keep in mind, he did suffer a knee injury this season.
