Not confirmed, but I heard that the Ponies either have (or soon will have) a commitment from DT Adrian Haywood (6-3, 285) of Tyler Junior College (originally from Mesquite). Not sure what other schools were after him.
Merry Christmas from the coaches to PonyFans, huh? Keep it up, coaches! Keep the players coming to the Hilltop.

Is this true?
If so, what a Christmas present!

We still need that WR
Look like Bennett is making his stand...his guys, this year and next, supplemented with JCs... fortunately, many of his JCs still have 3 years left...that will lessen any negatives of them being JCs.

Oh Yeah!!
I do hope this DT come to SMU and it looks like he is the size ( not 320 ) that Coach works best with.
Merry Christmas

First Team All Conference at DT. Had 3 sacks on the year but it looks like he recorded another one in the bowl game.

Great news to have another DT. All I could find on him was a story that really was about the Tyler defense leading a win -- not him personally, just the defense in general. It did refer to him whipping his man all game long, which was nice to read.
Sounds like he could be a good player. Can't wait to check him out. Will he enroll in January with Cox and Goode and Therian?

he was a unanimous All-District in a pretty tough district his senior year in high school.

he was junior starter on Mesquite's perfect 15-0 5A State Championship in 2001.
