2006 Recruit Derek Cosper

According to Rivals, Cosper is moving back to Carrollton Newman Smith from Richland. He is 6-1, 225 lb. middle linebacker, who runs a 4.5 forty. No offers yet and he has no favorites, but he has the following schools on his list: SMU, Kansas State, Texas Tech, TCU, Arkansas and Alabama. Sounds like he has the size a and speed to get the job done.

I do like the speed. And based on the schools listed (which, granted, might just be schools in which he has interest, not vice versa -- we know) and based on the fact that his move merits some kind of story, does that suggest that he can actually play?
