All I have read is how every area recruit can't wait to go to TCU for the Nike camp, what is stopping us from doing something major like that?

The Nike camp is the Nike camp. It is in a different spot every year. It is not a TCU thing; it just happens to be at TCU this year.

True it isn't a TCU thing, however, schools like Miami have had it for the past three years at least.

And I can't remember the last time SMU has had it? Maybe it is time for the school to make a push for next year's tour.

This a valid issue to discuss. NIKE's TX camps have been at UT, A&M, & now FrogU.

Almost every JR TX HS FB player that wants to pursue collegiate FB is in attendance. Each year, the NIKE Camp is the only venue where you can have a side-by-side comparison of size, strength & speed.

At the same time, it's a great marketing opportunity to show-off the SMU campus & FB facilities to all these prospects. What is needed to get this competition on campus? What does it cost (if anything)? Is something being done to get a future NIKE Camp at Ford?

Now, I realize this is not as exciting as discussing the color of next year's uniforms  . but I have yet to read about a player not signing with a school because he didn't like their damn uniforms!

However, getting prospects on this campus give us a leg up on the competition.

Wanted to mention that Rivals is talking about their Rivals.com junior day that they hosted at Rice University. 20 of their top 100 showed up.

I know we can't control where they do their junior day...but there is another example of free publicity that could be ours if we made the push
