Well, me@smu, exactly how does one go about accessing SMUInsider.com? That site as spelled out above does not exist. That being said, none of the coaches nor anyone in the University is going to break NCAA rules and post or publicize anything about who they may be recruiting. So the question has to be...are you just laying a bunch of bullsh*t out here??? I noticed this is not the first time you have referenced the phantom SMUInsider though usually without the dot com. Come clean... me, what's your deal here?

That's why I stopped subscribing to the Insiders. They don't do a very good job of keeping up with the general recruiting scene. This board has posted numerous names that should be included on that list, such as the three top players from Carrollton Newman Smith that have an interest in SMU, but failed to make Insider's list. I will have to see a lot of improvement before I re-subscribe. Rivals does a better job overall in my opinion.

I agree that Insiders doesn't have as many new names on its list as rivals does, but they sometimes have a wider array early on. As I recall, Insiders was mentioning David Allison, Bryce Hudman and .... someone else before they appeared on rivals, although they were added to the rivals list shortly thereafter. I'd always rely on the scouting opinions of coaches before the opinions of the recruiting services, but both rivals and Insiders have their merit, I suppose.

Wasn't trying to cause a problem by referencing SMUInsider, It is just providing additional names that Rivals doesn't have. I prefer to rely on Rivals but wanted to throw the names out there and see if anyone had any ideas about the truth with these kids.

So what is the actual link...it's not SMUInsiders.com and Insiders.com get a weird site.

I've even dropped the Insiders/Scout-they didn't even have a recruiting editor covering Texas last year. They had guys in the Midwest and SEC but I guess their Texas guy quit and it was horrible. I'd always laugh when someone posted info from the Insiders which was often half a year old. They may be acceptable in other areas of the country but they are trash in Texas.

NGHS is my alma mater. Like me, I'm sure this guy is a great person, outstanding athlete and future Nobel Prize winner.

Touche'. Did I mention the guy probably scored a 1670 on his SAT and works nights and weekends to care for his ailing grandmother? In addition to his church and community volunteerism.
