Rivals article indicates that McElroy (6-3, 210 lbs) wants to stay close to home. He just got an offer from Kansas. Kansas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama, and Stanford are the favorites righyt now, but he is hearing from SMU, Colorado, and Tennesse. He states that he is going to wait until the season is nearly over to make a decision, unless the right offer comes along. Maybe we are the "right" offer?
We need to get him out to the spring game Saturday, along with his former lead blocker Mitch Enright, and get an offer into his hands!

Considering he hardly (if ever) played last year while serving as Chase Daniel's backup, how much is known about his skills?
I'm not knocking him -- if he can play, sign him up!

Just an opinion, but I think anybody who has stood & watched FB next to Coach Dodge probably knows more about the QB position than most other TX HS QB's.

That said, it remains to be seen if he can play on Friday night. Buf if Dodge has him as the starter at SLC, he probably can pass.
