For those of you bi*ching and moaning about Coach Tubbs not getting any local players yet, just look at the 2006 class. We are currently on the “High Interest” list of the #4 (Arthur), #68 (Sloan), #72 (Odufuwa), #108 (Beal) players in the country. When was the last time SMU received serious interest from a 5 star, two 4 stars and a very high 3 star player in the same year.....or ever?? All of which are in our own backyard......hummmm.
BTW, a couple of interesting notes- of the players I mentioned, SMU is the only non-BCS school in serious consideration for each. And I have been told by a very reliable source that if Arthur does decide to go to school, we have a VERY good chance of getting him.

If Arthur is really serious about SMU, or even if he's not, let's all hope that the NBA enacts the age minimums (20 years old) that they have been talking about. At the very least college basketball will have better overall players.

Or, if they don't agree to the age minimums, maybe there will be a labor stoppage that will force the stud HS players to go to college while the nitwits in the NBA office try to sort it out. Of course, that would hurt our man Q, but he can spend his time away from the league convincing his cousin (Arthur) to follow him to SMU!
(How's THAT for a backward way of reaching a goal? )
