Heading into the spring, Adam Walker wasn't at a loss for college interest, but he hadn't quite found the right fit. The 6-foot-7, 190-pound power forward from Christ the King High School in Middle Village, New York, had seen his season cut short by a fractured foot, but by the same token, still had his share of options. Walker took official visits to Hofstra (offer) and SMU (no offer), and Central Florida tried to woo him for an official trip, as well, but ultimately, he decided to go in a different direction.

Walker will take a postgraduate year at Northfield Mount Hermon School in Northfield, Massachusetts, according to sources close to Adam. The prep year was an option he had been entertaining up until recently, and Coach Bill Batty's program appeared to be a good fit.

Just to clarify, believe we did offer Adam during his official visit.

It will be interesting to see where he rates out come end of next season and whether we continue to offer considering the other bigmen we are currently in the hunt for.

Trust me ... SMU did not offer as we needed the JC shooter Epps a little more at this time. Good luck and perhaps we will see Adam at SMU later.
