Former SMU recruit headed to prep school

The 6-foot-7, 190-pound power forward from Christ the King High School in Middle Village, New York, had seen his season cut short by a fractured foot, but by the same token, still had his share of options. Walker took official visits to Hofstra (offer) and SMU (no offer), and Central Florida tried to woo him for an official trip, as well, but ultimately, he decided to go in a different direction.
Walker will take a postgraduate year at Northfield Mount Hermon School in Northfield, Massachusetts, according to sources close to Adam. The prep year was an option he had been entertaining up until recently, and Coach Bill Batty's program appeared to be a good fit.
