Davyon McGhee
Height: 5-10
Weight: 198
40 time: 4.83
Bench: 295
Squat: 450
Clean: 265
Vertical:'34
From: Houston, Texas
High School: Langham Creek

Davyon McGhee will now be focusing his attention on stuffing running backs instead of pounding the ball at linebackers. "I have made a permanent switch from running back to linebacker," he explained. "We have a real good quarterback here and our offense has gone to a spread scheme where we feature four wide receivers. I will see more action on defense at middle linebacker. Plus, that is where most schools are recruiting me so it works out well."

He has received phone calls this month from all the aforementioned schools, plus Colorado State, Utah, Arkansas, Tulane, and Kansas.

"Colorado is recruiting me pretty hard, along with Texas Tech. I have spoken with Coach Simms a couple of times and he is telling me good things. CU is my leader right now."

Rounding out his top four are Texas Tech, SMU and A&M. "I am going to the CU one-day camp towards the end of the summer. I will also go to A&M's one-day camp."

a LB that is 5-10, 198 and runs a 4.83 is a "must sign" for the Intramural League-not Division 1A.

I agree -- although it did say IF he plays like his dad .... in which case those numbers wouldn't be too accurate. His dad was a monster.
