This guy committed to TCU.
Kendall Briscoe
Defensive tackle
Dallas (Lincoln), Texas
Height: 6-foot-1
Weight: 259 pounds
40-yard dash: 5.49 seconds
Bench reps: 19
Vertical leap: 22 inches
Shuttle time: 4.87 seconds
The numbers don't add up, at least not for an early offer. We like to make fun of TCU, because .... it's TCU, but they have recruited some good players in recent years. I would think for such an early offer, he'd be either MUCH bigger or MUCH faster.
Or does rivals have some inaccurate numbers here?

I dunno either -seems very slow for a DT but he claims in a separate report that he didn't perform well at that combine and generally is much quicker. These kids now can't afford to take the summer off these days. A couple of times like that can really scare off a lot of teams. But remember all these schools run senior camps too so maybe TCU knows something we don't. I hadn't even seen his name mentioned before his commitment.

Very strange. You'd think in this day and age, info about a faster time, etc., would be well circulated.

once Rivals gets an official time from one of their Nike camps they are almost assuredly going to use that time rather than hearsay.

Kendall looked all-world in the playoffs last year and had 26 sacks and 17 TBLs last season, including the playoffs. Kid is a stud and has started on Lincoln's varsity since about the 6th game of his freshman year.
One reporter for Rivals has him at 6-2, 280, 5.1 and Randy Rogers has him at 6-2, 270, 5.1 along with him being in his Texas 300. He normally played at DE last season so I don't know if he trying to bulk up for the DT position, but the kid is solid and very glad he is commited to TCU.

Sorry to hear that. I was hoping he was a 5'2", 141-pound weakling who runs a 7.3 in the 40.
Oh well.
