Will any of our gray shirt recruits (a term I never heard until this year) who were not going to enroll until Spring or next Fall enroll now since we have several schlorships available due to players transferring?

Don't think so. If they're gray-shirted because of injuries (I believe that's the case with Hickman and Alexander - not sure about Dizer), then there's no reason to have them on campus yet. They'll be at the games, I assume, but by enrolling in January, they will have five years AND FIVE SPRING PRACTICE SESSIONS to complete their eligibility. If they enroll now, this would count as their redshirt year, and they'd lose the extra year of watching the games and working with the team in the spring.

I was told at least Dizer and Hickman have reported. Maybe someone can confirm. You know there has been an important change in NCAA rules this year that allows incoming freshmen to participate in Summer workouts and training so it might just be that they are participating in these. BTW these changes should give incoming freshman a much better shot at contributing early. Anyone know which freshman have been participating in Dallas this summer?

Freshman have always been allowed to participate as long as they were enrolled in school. The big change was that the schools are now allowed to provide scholarship money for incoming freshmen for the summer, while previously the had to pay their own way. Big difference for private schools as TCU for example had the entire freshman class in for the summer, while few if any could afford to participate in the past.

I saw them Saturday, too. Dizer looks like he's even taller than 6'5". If he can add enough weight .... who knows.
