he is about 6-8-rated a 3 star-is not as highly regarded as Arthur but would be an outstanding nationally ranked type of recruit for SMU. The dream would probably be if we could get say Arthur, Odufuwa, Lewis and Beal to commit together. Definitely on our target most wanted list.

It looks like Odufuwa is getting ready to make a commitment in the next two weeks. Visited Arizona St last week and SMU this week and MAY go to Colorado the week after but may just decide apparently between SMU and Arizona St. Definitely still planning to take that SMU trip and mentions his relationship to Tubbs. "i've been knowing SMU and their coaches for awhile now so that's the big thing with them"

It would be great if SMU could sign this guy, he could do wonders for the program, SMU basketball has a lot to look forward to in the next couple of years, hopefully Odufuwa can hop on board and help us get there.

Its always best to host a guy's final visit. Last impressions are bigger than first impressions in recruiting. This would be a big get for SMU.

New article has it down to a two horse race with Arizona State leading after last weekend's visit.
Let's hope the most spectacular of all the SMU sites, the female students, make a lasting impression this weekend and George never wants to leave. And I will grill the kid a hamburger myself if what he cares about is BBQs.
Oh article from Rivals is posted below:
It is looking more and more like a two horse race in the recruitment of George Odufuwa, the No. 133 ranked player in the Rivals150. After his positive visit to Arizona State last weekend, the 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward from Kimball High School in Cedar Hill, Texas, is set to visit SMU this weekend.
"Arizona State is the leader right now, but we'll see what happens after I visit SMU," said Odufuwa, who is also scheduled to visit Colorado next weekend. "I'm not sure if I'll take anymore visits after I visit SMU."
Odufuwa, who averaged 19 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocks per game as a junior, also commented on his Arizona State visit.
"It went really well," he said. "It is a good family atmosphere. I really liked the environment. I had a chance to go to a barbeque at Coach Evans home, and all the coaches seemed down to earth and like they are there for you."

It is refreshing that we are still in contention for some of the local players. Let's keep our fingers crossed on this guy. He seems like he would make a great impact at SMU.

Helloooooooo, barbeque at the coaches home? That is a direct violation of NCAA recruiting rules. And here it is in black and white with quotations.
