Page 14C of Today's (8/31) DMN has an article about Marshall Newhouse, who is a svelte 303 lbs. He is a distant cousin of former Cowboys running back Robert Newhouse and is the sixth member of his family to play sports at Lake Highlands. His time in the 40 yard dash at the Texas A$M camp was 4.9 seconds and SMU has offered him a scholarship. He plays left tackle and he hopes to further the development of his teammates on the line and make them one cohesive unit. "If, in the early games, anyone gets panicked or nervous and needs to calm down, I want them to know they can come to me aqnd we can talk things through," Newhouse said.

What you won't read on a scouting report is what fine people they are. They also do well in the classroom. Lets hope Baylor, Rice and Cougar High don't sneak in since cousins and Uncles have all played for those schools.

Reggie was a great student-athlete at Baylor. I wish he had had a better QB to throw to him. I had a couple classes with him and he's a guy that would be there for every class, do a good job on his projects and was just a great all-around ambassador for Baylor Football.
I hope he can catch on at Arizona, but they are so loaded at WR, I'm hoping he gets a chance somewhere. He had a good year in NFL Europe, if I'm not mistaken.

My nephew shares a starting spot on the Lake Highlands offensive line with Newhouse. Says he's a man among boys.
