Any of you recruitniks know anything about RB Bradley Stephens? Someone said aTm has shown some interest...I'm not plugged into Rivals, so I wouldn't know. At any rate, there isn't exactly a bevy of D1 material down here, but it would be nice if SMU would at least look at the ones that are. Has anyone ever emailed an asst. coach about kids?

One recent D1 signee from the valley torched us for a TD in College Station...Earvin Taylor. Another...an OL (Garrett Mason)...had signed with Baylor but switched when they changed coaches a couple of years ago. And get this...the kid's methodist, and wound up at.....Duke. Seems SMU would've had something of a shot.

I didn't see him in the Rivals Database but if a kid doesn't go to the camps and lives south of Austin and west of Corpus Christ I'd bet there's a chance that he might be overlooked. Earvin Taylor however was a National recruit. Just found out the kid's a junior. The paper here says he's had contact from Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Tennessee, Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma State, Notre Dame, and Iowa State. At this point, I'm guessing those are probably just questionaires.

Bradley Stephens is probably one of the top 5 RBs in the nation as a junior. Great kid all-around, good grades and active in many positive organizations, etc. The interest by all of those schools is genuine and he has offers from most of them already.
