Let me tell you, this kid is the real deal. I saw him play for the second time Friday night. He is a big, strong kid with an unbelievable arm. If there was ever a prototypical pocket passing QB in high school that has every scout (college and pro) drooling, itâ€™s Stafford. Supposedly, his commitment to Georgia is now soft and the Horns are all over it. They are doing everything possible to get him to the UT/OU game Saturday. My prediction- the nationâ€™s best high school offensive player (Stafford) and best defensive player (Sergio Kindle) will be in Austin next year.

Also, Bomar may be more mobile, but give me Stafford any day of the week.

in case you don't know he is the No. 1 rated QB if not player in the Country and lives down the street-its of general interest to many of this board. I too think the QB that signs with UT this year will likely never regret it. Stafford would have so many weapons at UT it's unreal. This freshman class is darn small but so darn good-2/3rds of them are already contributing. They've got everything except the great QB of the Future.

I heard Stafford is rethinking Georgia but is, for some reason, not interested in UT. Don't know why........

probably because Bennett has him convinced SMU is just one good QB prospect away from knocking down that BCS door.

McNown is doing his best to prove we're not just a QB away from BCS. We're 5 offensive linemen away from a winning record.... and about 4 losses away from a new coach.

McCown had the tools, but he was not mobile and our line at the time pretty much made him a target for every defensive lineman we played. Had he stayed he would never have been that effective, because our line could not pass block adequately to give him time to find his receivers. He would have been lucky not to suffer a career ending injury.

Because Matt broke up with his girlfriend in Georgia. The problem with UT is that they couldn't get Matt's sister into UT because her grades were so bad. Not sure what their chances are the second time around.

No No, don't give her a football scholarship. That would require better grades than going to UT. Just admit her to SMU so we don't have to go before the Faculty Senate Council.

Somebody PLEEEEEZE hook Matt Stafford'sister up with the sweetest dorm on campus and give her an "academic" scholarship. We could give her the 1st annual BUS Memorial Scholarship. OK Bus is alive and well but who cares.

If all it takes to get Stafford to SMU is the "BUS Memorial Scholarship" for his 'sis, then I'll make that happen.
