Think the mention of SMU first in the interested schools has any significance?

more good coverage in the DMN.
It never hurts.
Go Mustangs.
I also noticed about 6 others that had us as interested. The JUCO's and somebody from out of state.

The article clearly says Iowa State is his favorite.

Notable weight difference between the two or three-years-apart Burley brothers -
Kenard Burley (SMU) OL / SO / 6-5 / 305
Philip Burley (HS) WR / SR / 6-5 / 205

I made up that weight difference in about 18 months at age 40!

Time for Kenard to wield a little Big Brother influence, don't you think?

Shanderrick and Jamal;
Josh and Luke;
Grady Burnette and son Buck Burnette
We are miserable failures at recruiting relatives.

As much as you trash McCown, surely you wouldn't have wanted his brother at SMU, huh?

Vincent and Bobby Chase.
I can't speak for the others on your list, but Jamaal Charles wouldn't have gotten in academically, from everything I read.

I was excited about McCown's talent from Day 1-what I don't appreciate are starting QBs who quit without a justifiable excuse like a change in the offense, a change in coaching, a change in position or sitting on the bench behingd other starters. Luke would have started 3-4 years here. Jamal Charles I believe is a pretty good student-the fact that he passed the clearinghouse late was a glitch in his transcript I believe.
