This from Fox Sports...

However, this season it seems the state to recruit quarterbacks from is Texas. So far, quarterback prospects from the Lone Star State have committed to Texas (Sherrod Harris), Texas Tech (Taylor Potts, Greg McElroy), Kansas (Todd Reesing), Mississippi (Nick Stephens), Florida State (Christian Ponder), Florida (Jevan Snead), Georgia (Matthew Stafford), Tulane (Kevin Moore), Houston (L.J. Castille, Case Keenum), Northwestern (Joe Mauro), Baylor (Tyler Beatty) and Missouri (J.P. Tillman). That's quite impressive.

Question...They just mentioned 14 QBs, how come they excluded Zach Rhoades?

Maybe they were limiting it to true D-1 prospects?

As my dad use to say if you can't say something nice don't say any thing at all. JT I guess if you followed this rule you would never get to post.

Am I the only hearing whispers that several of those guys might end up switching their commitments around? Like a higher number of switches than usual? (And no, I'm not saying they're all suddenly eager to come to SMU.) I don't know who's going to switch to where, but I talked to a friend who's a sportswriter, and he says that's what's out on the grapevine -- that an unusually high number of serious QBs are still looking around after making early commitments.

You would think any article hyping Texas as a fertile ground for Division I-A QBs would list ALL offers and Zach would be included...just goes to show how irrelevant we have become when we aren't even mentioned alongside Tulane and Houston...our own conference mates! And JT, you really are one negative SOB. We all have plenty of reasons to pout as SMU fans, but give the kid a break...he got an offer from (last time I checked SMU still qualifies) a Division I-A program

well that could be true but I haven't heard of a single committed player except the Cedar Hill QB who still indicates some interest in SMU and he really appears to be interested in some bigger programs. I'm sure there will be some-there are whispers Stafford might reconsider or perhaps Tyler Potts but the rumors there are that UT may still be in the picture. Also, Zach appears to be a good enough athlete that he might be used at other positions.

See I knew you could post something positive. Even Stallion is doing it over on the football board.
