Backfield mate Leon Patton has received the majority of the notoriety in regards to W.T. White High School in Dallas. His partner in crime, Dante Thomas, quietly has put together quite a fine senior season, himself, and how also finds himself with the likelihood of finding a division one home.
"Dante was probably our most valuable player this fall for the fact that he played both sides of the ball for us," said head coach Michael Zoffuto. "He plays both running back and cornerback for our team. He is a bit short at 5'8, but I'm telling you this guy is a burner."
On the offensive side of the ball this fall, Thomas rushed for 951 yards and 14 touchdowns on 138 carries. He also caught six receptions for 56 yards. It is those type of numbers that have helped attract recruiters here in the final months before SigningDay.
"I know both Baylor and SMU are really making a big push for him. Kansas, Purdue, Arizona, and Houston are also showing him some interest. Teams that wait too long, though, will be out of luck as he is a guy that is definitely starting to grab a lot of people's attention," stated Zoffuto
