Everyone always talks about winning games to help us in recruiting....now that we have beaten TCU and Houston, two of our instate rivals for recruits (that most likely have been out recruiting us) do we have a shot to steal some of them away, or is TCU's record too good, and Houston's shot at a bowl game a better incentive?

They're still going to get their players. But yeah, we definitely should have a better shot to steal some -- especially from Houston. Better school, better city, better student body, and we beat them in their place. Yes, they should beat Rice, which would make them bowl-eligible, but we'll do the same next year. The only reason I can think of that a guy would go there is if he can't get in academically at SMU.

Beating UTEP, ending on a winning streak .... that's got to help get some players, including help us steal a couple.

For sure they are being called - and why would they not think twice about us - the direction of the program is much more clear then it was at mid season.
