My brother has been raving about this kid. Anyone have any info him? I know he has a had some really good games and Allen produced the current Tech punter so I was curious if we are giving this kid a good look.

We should. With Rusty Burn's offence, it is important that we have a strong punter. When you have two strong tight ends and two or three good running backs, coupled with one decent receiver, it's important that you line up 5 wide on downs 1,2 and 3, then punt.

I saw most of Allen's games this year, and this kid is great!

This guy lists him as one of the top two punters in the state...

i have seen every Allen game the last 4 years. I've seen him kick the last 3 years. While he has been good, it seems the last 5 or 6 games he has taken it to a new level. He averaged 48.7 yd the last couple of games. And the last game againest Southlake Carroll, he started out great, pinned them inside the 20 most times, had a couple of shorter kicks. But his hang time is really good. doesn't get his yards by line driving.

Talked to him at the donut shop and he was uncommittal to where or who was looking at him. That was before the last game, but for him to go to SMU, he won't be walking on

Even though Ryan Mentzel has played pretty well, I generally fall into the group that feels a punter doesn't have a lot of sizzle on signing day. However, we need someone capable to replace Mentzel. Sounds like this guy might be worth it.
