6-4, 210 4.65 at least according to his teammate and Aggie commit James Johnson.Rated 2 stars. No offer yet shown from SMU. Only other offer was from Wyoming. Note Wyoming picked up a commitment from that Rockwall QB last week. Johnson says that Danna has expressed a desire to stay close to home which may give the Mustangs an edge. "He took a trip to SMU for their last game and liked what he saw. He's going this weekend to Wyoming now that they've offered. I know he wants to stay in Texas so if SMU offers, I'm pretty sure he may take it.

That's not Matt Jones but kind of impressive size and speed combo if accurate.

Did he go to a Div. I school and transfer there? If so, who recruited him out of high school?
Thanks

The numbers do look good.

Congrats to Zach - I am sure his dad is happy about the college fund money!

Agreed, the size is appealing. Actually, I'd read somewhere that he had been clocked at a 4.5, so assuming the general rule of exaggeration, maybe this 4.65 is accurate, or at least close?

BUS: what are you talking about (Zach .... college fund $....)?

From the NJCAA site his stats, if complete, were:

95 of 182 attempts, 52.2% completions, 0 ints 8 TDs passing and 3 rushing.

It appears he did not play two games or they had no stats. Mid to late season.

Just found a stat summary. He apparently did miss two games and threw 7 ints. The game stat summaries I was looking at did not show the picks.

According to Rivals:
Joe Danna was a 2 star athlete out of high school.
Was the #17 rated preseason player in Maryland

"Will be a first year starter this fall, but has tools to cause drools. Not a runner, but can sling it." - This comment made before his senior year in high school

No mention of an offer anywhere but he was interested in only big time programs.

Isn't Blinn where Bennett and his boys found Michael Bishop? I know Bobby Chase went there too.

Yep Bishop led Blinn to a perfect 1995 and 1996 marks (24-0 over the two years).

Given Blinn has become Franchione JC (with his son as HC), is there any chance to package Breaux (6'7" WR) from the Blinn team, too? Or is leaning to BB?

Breaux is a rs-fr so its possible he isn't coming out this year. Honestly little insight on this one!

Okay, me@smu.

I thought Breaux transferred from Buffalo U in 04.

I'd be surprised if Breaux doesn't go to LSU.

Just look at the QB Texas lost to LSU....if a name ends in X, LSU has the inside track :D

I think the Juco QB from California, is visiting this weekend. Hope he likes perfect weather!
