New Hampton is 5-2 so far. On the school's website they have a small capsule of the game which lists the leading 3 or 4 scorers. So far he has scored 16, 13 and 10 in the games he was listed as a leading scorer. For whatever reason he hasn't been included in the game story on 4 of the 7 games.

Checked on Nyam progress again-in one game he had 18, another he had 13 and in about 3-4 more he had 11-12 points. In the other games he was not described as one of the leading scorers. They do have some good talent on that team with other kids going to Kansas, New Hampshire and a kid going to BC on a FB scholarship.

New Hampton is a very good program. Nyam is better than you think, but i would agree we need some more prolific scorers.

Prolific is a bit strong of a word. I just want a scorer. IF, and this is a pretty unrealistic if, we could land a guy to come in and score 15-18 points a game we would be much improved next year. I dont care whether thats Arthur, some Juco transfer, some sleeper none of uys have heard of, we just need someone. Morris, Pearson and Roberts will all be double digit scorers next year but none will be the go to guy we need. Our front line of Bamba, Morris and Rack is pretty talented and has great size. Add that scorer we lack and you have the makings of a team that can compete with anyone in CUSA outside of Memphis.

I know I have made some sarcastic comments regarding Nyam in the past. It is not that I think he is a bad prospect- I think he is a good one. He comes from a good program, he is supposedly very athletic, and was getting looks from other solid programs/coaches. My problem is he will not be that scorer we desperately need for this team. I would like him a lot more if I knew he was our second best recruit from this class.

And TP, I must say you lost me on this one. I am not a Tubbs rah rah guy but even I can't make a sound arguement saying Tubbs somehow stiffled BHop's scoring potential.

I wonder how Nyam feels about our new coach. Will Coach Doherty have another scholarship to fill??????

So did Nyam sign? Wasn't there another guy from the same school Radar O-Somehting that had interest in SMU? What happened with him?

he signed in the early period. His teammate named Radar signed with New Hampshire in the early period.
