consider the tens of thousands of high schools across the country all with 40-50 kids playing football each year then consider the 2002-2003 rankings of some of college footballs greatest players:

2002:

Vincent Young No. 1 Dual Style QB (Maxwell, OBrian Awards)

Ben Olson No. 1 Pro Style QB

Marcus Vick No. 2 Dual Style QB

Maurice Clarrett No. 1 FB

Marcedes Lewis No. 1 TE (Mackey Award)

Justin Blalock No. 1 OG

Rodrique Wright No. 1 DT

2003:

Reggie Bush No. 1 RB (Heisman, Camp, Walker Awards)

2004:

Adrian Peterson No. 1 RB

Teddy Ginn No. 1 DB

also, Rivals doesn't include its ratings in Archives for 2000 when Matt Leinart(Heisman, Unitas more) was recruited but he was a Parade All-American which means he was in the Top what? 30 recruits in the Nation and perhaps the No. 1 QB.
