Jeremy Sanders Profile

Jeremy Sanders, a 6-foot-2, 290-pound, athlete, from Marlin, Texas visited Houston this past weekend and the Cougars are now the school to beat for Sanders services.

"I just returned from Houston and I have a really good feeling about them," Justin Sanders said.

"I've already visited Texas Tech (12-2) and Oklahoma State (12-9). Houston was my best visit.

"I'm still thinking about visiting Missouri and SMU in January. Houston is my leader but I don't know if I'm ready to make a commitment."

Sanders played quarterback and free safety for Marlin in 2005. He could play several positions at the next level.

Sanders had 2,039 yards passing and 25 touchdowns this season. He also used his 4.4 speed to rush for 800 yards. Sanders had two defensive interceptions.

Is that 290 accurate, I would think it was 190, but if a 290 lb guy can run a 4.4 I would take it.

If a gu was running a 4.4 at 290 pounds, he'd be suing to be the first to go straight from high school to the NFL, and teams would be offering their entire roster for the first pick.

Can you imagine La'Roi Glover running a 4.4?
Yesterday's game might have had a different outcome!
Any idea what position this guy would play?

Apparently Sanders wants to play QB at the next level and Houston is willing to make that happen.

If he's as great an athlete as some folks seem to think, why shouldn't we offer that, too? We bring him in and let him take a crack at playing QB. If he can hack it, great -- we've got another good athlete at the position. If not, then we find a position he can play. Can't sign enough big guys and great athletes, and if this guy fits the (latter) bill, we need to try to get him, right?
