Applewhite Chosen Offensive Coordinator by Rice....

according to the Houston Chronicle. He is only 27 years old. This will be the youngest staff by far in the history of college football-it will be interesting to see how they will do in recruiting.

I think that Major was just the quarterbacks coach at Syracuse

No, they didn't have a smashing year. But he is a rock star in much of central Texas, and whether or not he can coach or coordinate an offense, I expect he's going to cause further headaches on the recruiting trail.

And he's a Major. Next Colonel then General and then the sky is the limit. He might be the next Chairman of teh Joint Chiefs of Staff.
