article in the Tulsa paper this week is quoted as saying 35% of the Tulsa Football Team is majoring in Health and Exercise Science. We now know this is going on a Tulane, Rice and Tulsa the schools most similar to SMU. The revealations about Rice and Tulane came out from the McKimsey(?) Reports when each considered dropping football. SMU is unique in not allowing this type of Model in Football.

Don't kid yourself...whatever they want to call it...the concept is still the same.
Had a friend who played football for clemson and the hot major there was Parks and Recreational management. Strange enough the major also had the highest just out of graduation salary thanks to all the pro-players.

I wish we would start a general studies or a program to major in the sport that you play, in oreder to prepare guys to be coaches and involved in the professional sports environment, whether it is as a coach, trainer, agent, etc.... other than money is there any thing preventing us from doing this?
