Remaining needs

I would like very much to see another linebacker, preferably in the 6-2, 225 range. And we need to sign a quarterback and a kicker, in my opinion. But a thought occurred to me: we need to load up on some more defensive linemen. The defensive line played very well this year, but unless I'm mixed up, don't we graduate Justin Rogers, Adrian Haywood, Brandon Bonds, Troy Therien, Randy Denman, Charlie Berry and Jamar Bey next year? That's a hell of a lot to replace over two years, much less in one year if we try to replace them all next year. I'm sure Patrick Handy, Chris Parham, Chase Smith, Kyle Griffin, etc., are talented guys, but we're going to need a lot of increased depth in a year. Might have to grab a JUCO or two or three.

Well you can scratch a QB off your list...though not sure how much help Slater is going to be.

Another LB, another CB, another WR, a K and more linemen.

Would the lack of depth at DT (after the 2006 season) mean that Brad Lankford might move back to defense? Hope not -- I saw him (once) in practice, and he looked like he was holding his own at right guard against Adrian Haywood.
