From Rivals:
Garland (Texas) North Garland receiver/cornerback Adarius Medford took his first and what looks like will be his last official visit this weekend to SMU.
"I committed to SMU," Medford, who is 5-foot-9 and 169 pounds, said. "I'm a Mustang now."
Medford said he was also recruited by Minnesota, Iowa State, Tulsa and others took his first visit this weekend to SMU in Dallas. He said he was sold on the fact that SMU will offer him a great education.
"It's a great school," Medford said. "I can get a great education up there, and I know I can really shine. Phil Bennett said he wanted me to play on either side of the ball, but coach Rusty Burns said he wants me at receiver.
"I like having the ball in my hands."
Way to go coaches!!!

Anyone have a 40 time?
Welcome to SMU, Adarius!

No 40 time listed although he was verified at 5-9 169 at the Ft Worth Combine. He ran 40th out of 43rd in the Shuttle among DBs at 4.62. Since he didn't run the 40 I'm going to go out on a limb and guess maybe he had an injury. No other offers listed.

I don't know why a 40 time was recorded for him. Like Stallion said maybe he was hurt. But I watched his videos and he has soft hands and some good speed. I like the fact that the coaches are looking at him for both sides of the ball. Maybe a Devin Hester type player.
On a side note: I am no longer a newbie....I am a recruit!!!

Back off man and just sit back and enjoy the recruiting action we are getting. Stallion's reporting what he has read or heard...don't try to make anything more out of it than what it is.

Texas Football has Medford as a commitment to Minnesota so I'm guessing they offered at one time too.

had 34 catches for 596 yards and 9 TDs as a senior and 8 carries for 36 yards running. Looks like he played mostly LB as a junior as he had only 1 catch for 20 yards. I saw where he was a 3 year starter at the 5A level.
